If I was given a choice of any artist in this world to serenade me and make me weak to my knees, it will always be Mr. Sting. The older Sting. The older he gets the more sexy I find him to be. I guess this is what the saying, aging gracefully. So, I've said it....yes, I've got the hots for Sting. Check out the video.

I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the clubs are weapons of war
I know that diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my heart
He may play the jack of diamonds
He may lay the queen of spades
He may conceal a king in his hand
While the memory of it fades
Such a unique voice. One of a kind. Whenever I listen to this song I just can't take my eyes on him. Definitely well rehearsed but it looked as though their performance was impromptu. Sting has recorded various musical style throughout his career,
incorporating elements of jazz, reggae, classical and new age, just to
name a few, into his music. Some of my favorite songs by Sting are, Rise and Fall, Shape of My Heart, Fragile, Dessert Rose, Russian and also An Englishman in New York. I would like to share the below video performed by Cas Haley on Amercia Got Talent who sang a reggae version of Walking on the Moon, a song popularize by The Police. Piers Morgan said he once saw Sting performed this song in a private function but Cas Haley performance outshine Sting! And I have to admit I love this reggae version.

Well its 12 midnight good morning folks, have a productive week ahead!
He is said to be Quincy Jones' prodigy. Who doesn't know Quincy Jones. He is like a messiah when it comes to discovering new talents. It seems that he was the person responsible carving the pave for Tevin Campbell becoming an R&B artist. After the released of Tevin's 2nd album, I'm Ready in Fall of 93 this video clip was aired in MTV. I thought it was really pure, sweet and cute. This song is about high school kids first crush. It fitted Tevin like a glove, perfect for him who was 16 years old and slowly maturing into adulthood.

Fall 93 semester was to be a very busy semester. My parents have been pressuring me about graduation. I'd registered for 5 classes and was planning for the Winter graduation. Unfortunately God had other plans for me. After 2 weeks of classes, I fell very sick and took the whole semester off due to a spine surgery and recovery period.
Well anyway, earlier in the semester I purchased a set of BOSE bookshelf speakers. It cost me USD340 and fitted it with my set of DENON CD player and an amplifier. Yes! It sounded great. In fact I still use the speakers until today in my bedroom. Unfortunately my DENON set are sitting in the attic collecting dust. The amp blew up sometime back for the second time due to my carelessness. I used a converter because voltage conversion from 110v to 220v. I mistakenly plugged it in, into the wrong socket and puff...it went dead! It is very difficult to locate a stereo shop which can fix this brand. The parts can be excessively expensive in Malaysia.
After the purchase I brought home my new speakers, I hooked it on to my amp and 5 disc carousel CD player. And the first song I put on was Tevin Campbell's Can We Talk. Obviously I wanna test how good the speaker was and I think I over did it. The Japanese tenant above my apartment came knocking on my door and said that my music was too loud. OOppss sorry mamasan,...won't happened again.
Her music is catagorized as R&B but in my opinion hers is leaning more towards sophisticated pop. Whatever it is, I like the beat and melody of this song. I was in the States when I heard this song and quite surprise and happy to see a Brit made it big in the US. Not many made it to US song charts. Her album went platinum in the US in 1992.

If I could change, the way I live my life today
I wouldn't change a single thing
cause if I change my world into another place
I wouldn't see your smiling face....
The song inspired me to love myself and accepted myself just the way I
am. I was far away from home and had only few close friends who I can
rely on.
But I wonder why is it necessary to have a UK and US version. They are the same song, hmmm...
First of all I would like to thank to YOU TUBE. They do wonders. I cannot image the man behind this website,...such genius. In this modern age of information technology, we get to watch concerts, video clips, movie, and lots of other on YOU TUBE. Only in recent weeks I find that YOU TUBE is actually addictive...one video after the other and another. So tonight I am watching David Foster and Friends. Mr Foster is on piano while his guest artist performed. Donna Summer, Chaka Khan, Peter Cetera, All for One, Earth Wind & Fire just to name a few.....Then there was Brian McKnight. This reminded me of my sister, Sheri. Mr McKinght is her all time favorite artist. She will never misses any Brian McKnight's CD/Albums. She is a true #1 fan.
(Courtesy of You Tube)
Listening to Brain McKnight made me missing my sister. I wonder if she has a special moment song of me.
Sheri is my one and only living blood relative from the same mother and father. I have no other sisters nor brothers. In comparison, my sister is smart, friendly, independent, and molds herself to be a perfectionist. A Superwoman said Karyn White.
Our biological mother passed away when I was 8 while Sheri was 3. We once spoke what can she remember about mommy...she said she barely could remember anything....You know, I pity Sheri,...yes I do. She was too young to understand about losing a mother. But we turn out well, right, even without a mom to raise us. No one to explain to us about pimples, period, boyfriends, love, the birds and the bees.... We practically raised ourselves. Its nature's way taking its own course.
While going up, we mind our own business. You do your stuff and I'll do mine. The 4 years age difference could be the factor why we have a wall between us. She was a little bit tom boyish because she likes to wear pants and as far as I can remember, she always had short haircuts. She is tough, well, of course, she took Teak Kwan Do lessons when in secondary school. We do connect at some level but I cannot withstand her Bossy attitude. Most times I can tolerate with her. She likes to bosses other people around but she cannot take it when other people does that to her. I know that she sometimes does not understand that her words and actions can hurt other people's feelings. Please bring yourself one level down. To her every actions must have a reasoning behind it. Her favorite
question is WHY? Why this, why that. Yes, but not all reason can be
explained.....it could have just happened! As simple as that. Couldn't it? People makes mistakes over and over again. Some learn and some keep on repeating them.....Why then?
I missed my sister tonight but I am in a "not talking period" to her. It was that something happened a few weeks ago. Things must go her way, as she suggested and planned. I am not here to criticized her but I guess I am growing old and getting very sensitive on issues I would laughed off, if it this were 10 years ago. I feel she should be taught a lesson. So that she knows why I acted the way I am acting now. It has been almost 3 weeks since we spoke to each other. Ha ha ha....we're acting childish. I know that. Well, we deserve it!
Even though from time to time, I am pissed off with my sister, I do love her. What can I say.... I am a reserve person and I do have problems letting my feelings out when expressing how much I love them. Isn't it a waste? My stepmother once wrote to me, "Shera, if you want to know your dad, ask yourself and look into yourself. Your are a reflection of who your dad is." Yeah, on certain aspect dad and myself have our similarities...
Sheri's 1st birthday. My mom and me.
Well Sheri, you won't be reading this after all. We have gone through so much in life, and I know this will not last long. Blood is thicker than water.....To my one and only sister, we only have each other and I dedicate this song to you... love ya sis.
In 1989 I entered Sunway College. It is a private college located in PJ New Town or more known as PJ State. I assume it is because of the old cinema building by the same name. Several years later, Sunway College shifted to the current location in Bandar Sunway. They are now known, Sunway University.
After my STPM I took a year off and travel to Australia and later upon returning, I did nothing after the STPM results came out. Abah wanted me to enter the famous Vanto Academy to study law and do my final year in UK. Hmmm not sure if Vanto Academy is around today. I refused just because.....I prefer not to disclose the reason. I did nothing basically in 1988; didn't work,...just lepak.
I was in a very desperate situation.I don't know what I want to pursue. Pressure from all directions. What do I want to do? I jump to the opportunity after coming across an advertisement about courses offered at Sunway College in the newspaper. I always wanted to go and study in the States just like my 3 cousins. It took a while and lot to convinced my dad that there is where I want to continue my studies. They offered several courses under a twinning program with Western Michigan University. You do the first 2 years in Malaysia and carry forward your credit hours to continue with your 3rd and final year at WMU. Initially I took up Business Administration but in my 3rd semester I switched to Mass Communications since I did not excel in Economics and Accounting courses.
The deal was, I must stay with my grandmother in Klang. Without hesitant I accepted. So for 2 years I commuted from Klang to PJ to attend classes. Normally my classes ended by 3 pm except for my Public Speaking class. It ended around 7:30 pm, once a week.
Traveling alone 4 days a week you get to see people from all walks of life be it on the bus or at the bus stop. And this is how it began.....All I wanted was to get to college soon as possible. My stop was at Asiajaya and from there I either take the cab (in front of PJ Hilton) or walk to college. For over 45 minutes bus ride, I had my earplugs on and listen to my walkman. By the way there were no MP3s or Ipod back then.....
On several occasion I notice a tall guy always in blue shirt who would walk the same path as mine. He had his 'Top Gun' Rayban on...Once in a while we exchanged glances and that was it. Things at college was happening and I never took much interest in the guy. I was in my the final semester at Sunway and will be leaving for the states by end of the year. I will complete 33 credit hours and it already qualify me to continue at WMU. But then the 'occasional bumping into each other' became frequent. Only then I noticed that we share the same bus, same route and his stop is 2 stops after mine (which later I got to know from him) along Palm Groove, Klang. Wowww, what do you know? Coincidence?
Why am I telling all this? About this time, I love listening to various selection of music genre and one of it is a blues number by Gary Moore's Still Got The Blues. One morning, I hopped on to the bus and try to find an empty seat. It was 8:30 am and the bus was quite full but I was lucky enough to catch a seat way in the back of the bus. I pause. It's that tall guy in blue (at the time, that's how I referred him as-don't know his name) and the seat next to him happened to be empty! Should I or should I not? May be I should just stand,...and hoping to give the seat to an older lady....eerrr old lady? where are you?....but why to that extend? Oh well, just sit la......and I did. I played Gary Moore again and again and did not utter a single word to the tall guy in blue shirt. As they say, its a beginning of a new friendship and the rest is history......hehehe...We became friends and I found out later he was studying interior designing at Saito Academy, Menara MPPJ.
As time past we finally got to know each other really well. Then in December 1990 I left for the States. What happened to the tall guy in blue? Ours was not meant to be...we just withdrew from each other. Long distance relationship can't last? Perhaps. Who knows.....
To the late Mr Moore thank you for sharing your blues with me.
She has been one of my favorite artist. Queen of R&B, SOUL and JAZZ. Anita Baker sings from the heart. Each word in every line was define to the fullest. She understands what the lyric means and meant to her. She is very expressive. That is what differentiate a singer and a performer. Anita Baker is BOTH.
Anita Baker showed me R&B.
I started listening to her while I was studying at Sunway College in 1989. My group of friends were from up scale families and they only listen to selective type of music, R&B being one of it. So I pun terikut and listening more and more of R&B. I have the highest respect in her whenever she performs. More often I find that she is among the few who could sing 99% accuracy when comparing to what we hear on the stereo or CDs. I know they could do a studio sound editing but she sings just like how it was recorded in the studio. Particularly, Sweet Love which she co-wrote. It became an instance hit. It was at the top of my listening pleasure.
Her songs are all about love. Romance songstress? Well,....you tell me. When you watch the video below you see a performer at her best. Powerful and a touch of purity in her song. She takes us to another level - the desire to be loved.

This song was nominated in the 1987 Grammy's and won her the Best Song for R&B category.
In the mid 90's I started working in Petaling Jaya. When I started
earning my own 'dough' I bought myself a 25" television and a Laser Disc player
and stationed them in my room. Movie on laser disc capture a sharper image and better sound effect. I rented most of the movies and I also bought a few for my keeps. Mostly second hand and at the time it cost me RM80 a piece. An original piece can cost up to RM150 - RM200. For those who haven't heard of laser disc, it was the size of a 7" vinyl record but much heavier in weight. I still keep my discs which now, is collecting dust all over the cover. I don't know what the hell I am gonna do with it. With the invention of compact disc which is smaller and lighter, laser disc are non-existence today. The thought of throwing it away crossed my mind several times but yet they have some sentimental value to me.
These are my collections:
Only You (Marisa Tomei/Robert Downy Jr.)
Backdraft (Kurt Russell/William Baldwin)
X-Files the movie (David Duchovny/Gillian Anderson)
When A Man Loves A Woman (Meg Ryan/Andy Garcia)
While You Were Sleeping (Sandra Bullock/Bill Pullman)
French Kiss (Meg Ryan/Kevin Kline)
Pulp Fiction (John Travolta/Uma Thurman)
Bridges of Madison County (Clint Eastwood/Meryl Streep)
Once Around (Holly Hunter/Richard Dreyfus)
The song I selected tonight is Fly me to the Moon and it was the 'it' song for Once Around a romantic comedy movie.
The original title for this song was In Other Words and recorded by Kaye Ballard in 1954. There have been various version by strings of other
artist such as Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, and Amy Winehouse, just to name a few. But for me this song is synonym with the late Frank
Sinatra. Music arrangement was done by Quincy Jones with a swing tempo. In a 1969 television performance, Frank Sinatra respectably dedicated this song "to the 3 brave man who flew
to the moon". He was referring to Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. Then it became a trademark for other astronauts to play or sing this song while in space to gain their 3 minutes of spotlight. However,
the performance by Danny Aiello in this movie, has a lasting impact on me. The below is my
favorite part of the movie.
(Credit to You Tube and Universal Pictures)
It was also the ever first time I heard Fly me to the Moon. Lyrics were simplest ever and straight forward. It only took less than two and a half minutes. No hidden meanings and when you have this song sang by your dad on your wedding.....ooo so touching. It reminded me when dad and I danced at his official retirement function in Bukit Aman.
Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars
In order words hold my hand
In order word baby kiss me
Filled my heart with song
And let me be forever more
You are all I long for all I worship and adore
In order words please be true
In orders words I love you
You may get slightly bored at the beginning of the video, but once Bella gave the song's introduction,....you will start to smile, enjoy the movie scene and sway to the beat. It works with me every time..........
This song has so much meaning at the time I was expecting my first baby.
Contradicting with what others might say, I prefer Diana Krall's jazzy rendition of this song. Her songs are really a good therapy for me during my first pregnancy. I listened to this song over and over again and it was very calming. Again, it depends on how you define the lyrics. My story is about the excitement waiting for my first born. I can't wait to welcome my baby and hold her in my arms. The first time I saw Shakira, she was held up upside down by the nurse in front of my face. It took a while for me to digest that now I am a mother. Then in the wee hours of the morning, she was carted to my room. The first look of my baby girl,...I fell in love.
She was fair, with dark, thick curly hair. Her lips were rosy red and, her chubby pinkish cheeks...... as though she was wearing a blusher/rouge. The first few months was a trying period because she sleeps soundly during the day and keeps us up at nights....Basically the lyrics sums it all up of how I felt of my first born. Amazing, Magical, Miracle, and Humbled by God's gifts. Alhamdulillah, she has all grown up...healthy, insya Allah. It was really tiring in labor for 13 hours to get you out, girl!

The look of love is in your eyes
A look your smile can't disguise
The look of love is saying so much more than just words could ever say
And what my heart has heard, well it takes my breath away
I can hardly wait to hold you, feel my arms around you
How long I have waited
Waited just to love you, now that I have found you
You've got the
Look of love, it's on your face
A look that time can't erase
Be mine tonight, let this be just the start of so many nights like this
Let's take a lover's vow and then seal it with a kiss
I can hardly wait to hold you, feel my arms around you
How long I have waited
Waited just to love you, now that I have found you
Don't ever go
Don't ever go
I love you so
This song will always remind me of the time when I visited my sister in London summer of 1994. I spent 2 months exploring parts of UK. It just felt right with the weather and the spirit of the song which is so fresh and refine. I heard the song on TV and when we were in London, I bought the single CD. Satisfaction. Yes, I still have it.
Aswad is a British reggae group who have been performing since mid 70's. This song was a hit in 1994.The easy going reggae tune makes me want to bounce and bounce and bounce. Steel drum, bass guitar, saxophone, trumpet or trombone really set up the excitement. Makes me wanna dance and forget all my toubles.
[Chorus]
Come on and shine (shine), shine like a star (ah-ha)
Shining so bright (ah-ha) like the star that you are (ah-ha)
Oh oh oh oh shine (shine) into the future (ah-ha)
Spreading your light (ah-ha) wherever you are (ah-ha)
I burn like a fire left in the rain
As I run the race, oh yes I feel the pain
From the resistance I'm feeling the strain
Now the realization is that we are all born the same
[Chorus]
I reach for the moon and I reach for the stars (ooh ooh ooh)
With the strength from within me yeah, the further and faster I run
Stretching my sinews to the bone (ooh)
Achieving all goals that I seek, I know I must do it alone (ooh ooh ooh)
When they said I'd never make it
I found strength from within (ooh)
'Cause it is there if you seek it
So you can get it if you really want so
Shine (shine), shine like a star (ah-ha)
Shining so bright (ah-ha) like the star that you are (ah-ha)
Oh oh oh oh shine (shine) into the future (ah-ha)
Spreading your light (ah-ha) wherever you are (ah-ha)
Oh oh oh oh shine
Shine, shine your light
Shine, shine your light, yes we're badder than bad
Nigel Benn, the warrior, called the dark destroyer
Eubank, simply the best, nobody alive can touch that
Linford Christle, say nobody alive can catch me
Moving like lightning with enough energy
Shine, shine your light, yes we're badder than bad
Shine, shine your light, yes we're badder than bad
Him a floating like a butterfly, the hurdling man
Yes, me a chat about Colin Jackson
The crowd is roaring, Ian Wright scoring
Boogie man a fe the mighty champion fe we (ooh ooh ooh)
When they said I'd never make it
I found strength from within (ooh)
'Cause it is there if you seek it
So you can get it if you really want so
This song is from Keith Washington's 1st album, Make Time for Love. Odd enough this melancholic song was never rated and I doubt it reached any song charts in America. Personally this is the only song I liked and listened from this album. The combination of Mr Washington's raspy and seductive voice (ha ha ha!) really struck an arrow through my heart. The perfect song to seduce your loved ones.
I simply love the lyrics and the melody. Try closing your eyes and laying in bed with this song playing in the background...oooo......yeah.... you can sense now that you are smilling....he he he...imagining that moment (what moment? whatever la....lu pikir sendiri) and then you can feel as though Mr. Washington is sitting at the edge of your bed singing to you. Tak percaya? Try jangan tak try.
In the early 90's I was exposed to so many R&B artist; artist you have never heard before or up coming artists. The R&B industry in America is huge and every artist has to be original. However, Mr Washington's singing career received lukewarm response and after his 3rd album he is no longer in the music industry. How sad.....

oooohhh tak mungkin...
tak mungkin kau laku kan itu
semua tahu kau milik ku...
tapi ternyata..
ada yang lain di dekat mu..
tak ku sangka..
kau begitu...
apa yang kau cari
apa yang kau mahu
apakah diriku tak sempurna
apa yang kau rasa hanya sementara
itu pasti..
apa pun yang kau lalui
apakah yang pun yang telah terjadi
semua itu aku tak peduli
aaahoooo
i can't believe
ohhhh no..
i really won't believe...
everybody knows u belong to me
jauh dlm hati ku
ku simpan tiada kata ragu
ku harap kesetiaan mu
selalu bersama ku
apa yang kau cari
apa yang kau mau
apakah diriku tak sempurna
apa yang kau rasa hanya sementara
itu pasti..
apa pun yang kau lalui
apa pun yang telah terjadi
semua itu aku tak peduli
i won't believe...
apa yang kau cari
apa yang kau mau
apakah diriku tak sempurna
apa yang kau rasa hanya sementara
itu pasti..
apa pun yang kau lalui
apakah yang pun yang terjadi
semua itu... aku tak peduli
ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!I will let you go.....
After 5 years searching all over the net for the this song, finally I can have a closure. It has been a challenge for me personally to solve the mystery of, What is the title of this song? and Is it Tompi?. This song was introduced by Rabak, my hubby's friend. It was downloaded into a mobile. We know the singer is an Indonesian by his pronunciation which later we determined it could be Tompi. But, hell yeah! now I found the video on You Tube. Never give up always mount to something!
The first time I heard this song, it gave me goose bumps. This song is so sexy. The combination of dual language is easy to follow and understand. The melody is smooth and alluring. This is the kind of song you could never feel tired of listening.
Bali Lounge was establish or set up by an Indonesian banker trained pianist, Gita Wirjawan. His idea was to promote Indonesian artist internationally, he quoted, " The idea was to give Indonesian

What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl who died? That she
was beautiful and brilliant? That she loved Mozart and Bach? The
Beatles? And me?
In my Junior year at Uni., I registered for an English course called Film Interpretation. It is part of my 4 credit hours requirement towards the completion in English Minor. I love this class. Not only you come to class twice a week (2 hours each) and watched various selection of movies, you get to doze off in the dark theater. We watched lots and lots of old movies by Chaplin, Ingmar Bergman, Francois Truffaut, Godard, Hitchcock, Olsen Wells, Kurosawa, and Woody Allen. The best part was in my final paper project (which carry 40% of the entire course) you get to pick a movie and lay out all films techniques in a particular movie. I selected Love Story which was a popular movie back in the early 70's. This movie was directed by Arthur Hiller The heart of this movie is the theme song sang by the late Andy Williams. And that's what my paper was about,..relating the song to the plot.
(Credit to You Tube)
This movie had new and up raising artist like Ryan O'neal and Ali MacGraw who were perfect match for their parts. Memorable tag line in this movie, "Love means never having to say you're sorry."
That Fall of 92 was the semester where I spent lots of money watching movies and later penned down reports for my instructor. Among of the movies which still stick back of head was Schindler's List and Bodyguard.
Rest in Peace Mr Williams and thank you for your rendition of Love Story...
Nicely rapped. Not the usual hard core rapping. This is what being an artist all about. They write lyrics in their song to send message across. Originally this song was sung by Bill Withers and Grover Washington Jr. on saxophone. But the brilliant idea of such lyrics.....so pure, came right from the heart. We know his broken background, over night success, marriage and divorce. He is telling his son a story about the facts of life. Will Smith's life.

Just the two of us
From the first time the doctor placed you in my arms I knew I'd meet death before I'd let you meet harm Although questions arose in my mind, would I be man enough Against wrong, choose right and be standing up From the hospital that first night Took a hour just ta get the car seat in right People driving all fast, got me kinda upset Got you home safe, placed you in your bassinette That night I don't think one wink I slept As I slipped out my bed, to your crib I crept Touched your head gently, felt my heart melt Cause I knew I loved you more than life itself (life itself) Then to my knees, and I begged the Lord please Let me be a good daddy, all he needs Love, knowledge, discipline too I pledge my life to you
Just the two of us, we can make it if we try Just the two of us, (Just the two of us) Just the two of us, building castles in the sky Just the two of us, you and I
Five years old, bringing comedy Every time I look at you I think man, a little me Just like me Wait and see gonna be tall Makes me laugh cause you got your dads ears an all Sometimes I wonder, what you gonna be A General, a Doctor, maybe a MC Ha ha I wanna kiss you all the time But I will test that butt when you cut out of line, tru dat Uh ah why you do that I try to be a tough dad, but you be making me laugh Crazy joy, when I see the eyes of my baby boy I pledge to you, I will always do Everything I can Show you how to be a man Dignity, integrity, honor and And I don't mind if you lose, long as you came with it And you can cry, ain't no shame in it It didn't work out with me an your mom But yo push come to shove You was conceived in love So if the world attacks, and you slide off track Remember one fact, I got your back
Just the two of us, we can make it if we try Just the two of us, (Just the two of us) Just the two of us, building castles in the sky Just the two of us, you and I
Just the two of us, we can make it if we try Just the two of us, (Just the two of us) Just the two of us, building castles in the sky Just the two of us, you and I
It's a full-time job to be a good dad You got so much more stuff than I had I gotta study just to keep with the changing times 101 Dalmations on your CD-ROM See me I'm Trying to pretend I know On my PC where that CD go But yo, ain't nothing promised, one day I'll be gone Feel the strife, but trust life does go wrong (life goes on) But just in case It's my place To impart One day some girl's gonna break your heart And ooh ain't no pain like from the opposite sex Gonna hurt bad, but don't take it out on the next, son Throughout life people will make you mad Disrespect you and treat you bad Let God deal with the things they do (things they do) Cause hate in your heart will consume you too Always tell the truth, say your prayers (prayers) Hold doors, pull out chairs, easy on the swears You're living proof that dreams do come true I love you and I'm here for you
Just the two of us, we can make it if we try Just the two of us, (Just the two of us) Just the two of us, building castles in the sky Just the two of us, you and I -repeat-
Taking on the world taking on the world (I'm always here for you) Look over your shoulder I'll be there (Whatever you need just call on me) We gonna rise we gonna shine (Whatever you need I'll be there for you any time)
Just the two of us, we can make it if we try Just the two of us, (Just the two of us) Just the two of us, building castles in the sky Just the two of us, you and I Daddy loves you daddy loves you for the rest of your life
Full lyric included since I couldn't pick out one verse. Every word and every sentence are related to each other. Just hope fathers out there can learn from this song. Memang banyak cabaran untuk membesarkan anak2 zaman sekarang.
This songs has so much meaning in my life. Kalau I dengar lagu ni, memang berjurai-jurai air mata yang akan keluar. At times when I missed my father this is the song I listen. I was very closed to my dad and he meant the world to me. He was my rock and no words can describe how much I missed him until I heard this song.

If I could get another chance
Another walk
Another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never ever end
How I'd love love love
To dance with my father again
There can be a different interpretation depending of how you look at the song. As for me, I failed to spend most of my time when my dad was terminally ill. I keep finding excuses that I had family to care for and a job to go to. I tried as much as possible to care for him during those trying times but I know it wasn't enough. I cannot forgive myself in that sense. Even to his last days, I find myself asking my sister when she called, " What should I do? Should I leave work now?" My sister left her job to care for Abah.....does that make me a bad daughter?
Abah and me - Cameron Highlands 1984
It is never to late to rebuild special ties with your dad because when he is gone, no tears can bring him back. Regrets can last a life time. I have to deal with it and I haven't find the closure I needed. Every night before I go to sleep, you are in my prayers......
I have been a blogger since 2007. Please excuse if my grammar and vocabulary are not up to standard. Yes, they are my weaknesses even though I minor in English when I was in University. Ha ha ha.....I had my room-mate, Karen, to prove read most of my project papers!
Generally, in a song, I would listen to the melody and the lyrics will follow next. Lately, I have been
encouraging an old school friend to start up with her own blog. We kept in
touch on regular basis. We have been friend since secondary school. Finally, she set up her own blog and this is the featured song.

But I feel I'm growing older
And the songs that I have sung
Echo in the distance
Like the sound
Of a windmill goin' 'round
I guess I'll always be
A soldier of fortune
Most
notable artists were John Lord and Ritchie Blackmore. Deep Purple, an
English rock band was formed in 1968. The year I was born. They are
cited as the pioneer of hard rock and heavy metal musicians.
Today
was the first time I heard and enjoyed the groove in the song. Thank
you my friend for introducing this song. It is the right choice of
song featured on your blog. My hopes that you keep on writing because
writing does release some of our hidden feelings. Others may try to
interpret what you feel but only you, would UNDERSTAND!
This is an extension of my existing blog. I created this blog specifically to share songs that touched me in some ways throughout my cause of life.
We all do have a specific song for a specific special
moment, with or without you realizing it. Some of you may find this blog is a crap or nonsense
but I wanna share songs that meant something to me.
It is how I feel whenever I listen to the song, how it gives me chills, how
the song made me cry, and how I smile when the lyrics reminded me of the first time .....of anything.
Like my daughter
quoted: " When word fails, music speaks." I am totally 100% in
agreeable. Most times as human we find trouble expressing ourselves
through words. It is our nature and nothing is wrong with that. But
when you have songs which could translate words into feelings or connect
2 bridges become one,....it is the best method of communication.
All
songs will be linked mostly from You Tube. The selection of song is
not in any particular order. It is posted according to my mood that the
point of time.
